A 3rd grader from Rabbit Creek Elementary School successful Anchorage is Alaska’s victor successful nan 15th yearly Doodle for Google nationwide creation competition. 

In January, Google asked K-12 students crossed nan state to create a doodle showing their wish for nan adjacent 25 years. Lennex Czajowski’s won for her portion titled “For nan World not to beryllium Polluted.” She learned she had won astatine an assembly Wednesday pinch her 3rd people classmates.

“I drew a bee pollinating nan flower and nan earth,” Czajowski said. 

The 55 authorities and territory winners were announced Wednesday, but voting successful nan nationwide title is unfastened until June 4. Czajowski said she sees contamination on nan broadside of nan road.

“I thought to myself what would I not want to hap to nan earth, and I went from there.” 

Lennex’ mother, Adrean Czajowski, said she had known for astir a month, and had to support nan concealed from her daughter.

“I’m really proud,” Adrean Czajowski said. “It’s thing that she came up with, from nan conception and nan drafting and everything each connected our own. She came to america and said ‘here, Mom, look what I did.’”

Contest judges will prime five finalists and 1 expansive prize winner, who will return location a $55,000 assemblage danasiwa and $50,000 worthy of supplies and exertion for their school.
