BYU-I student taken to hospital after getting hit in crosswalk

REXBURG — A driver was cited aft a assemblage student was deed while crossing nan thoroughfare successful Rexburg.

The incident happened connected Wednesday astatine 7:30 a.m. astatine 7th South and Center Street adjacent nan Rexburg Idaho Temple.

Rexburg Police Department Assistant Chief Gary Hagen said a Brigham Young University-Idaho student was deed successful nan crosswalk, and he was transported to Madison Memorial Hospital pinch injuries that were non-life-threatening. 

The driver was having a difficult clip seeing owed to nan sun but was cooperative pinch investigators, Hagen said. He added that nan driver was cited for nonaccomplishment to output to a pedestrian. 

Part of nan roadworthy was temporarily blocked to analyse nan clang but opened quickly.
