Custer County Sheriff’s Office searching for missing 89-year-old hiker

CUSTER COUNTY — The Custer County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a hiker who has been missing since nan opening of August. 

Bing Olbum, 89, near for Hunter Creek Trailhead connected Aug. 1. The trailhead is successful the Mackay/Challis area. According to nan sheriff’s office, he ne'er returned to his last destination astatine nan McDonald Creek area.

Olbum was reported overdue Tuesday. Search and Rescue units person been activated and are searching imaginable trails.

Olbum is from Custer County. He is described arsenic 5’10” and is 170 lbs. He has brownish eyes and achromatic hair.
