IDAHO FALLS – Sen. Dave Lent, R-Idaho Falls, emerged victorious against his force successful nan Republican Primary Tuesday.
The District 33 legislator secured 60% of nan ballot pinch a full of 2,580 votes. District 33 includes nan “doughnut hole” of Idaho Falls betwixt Anderson, Skyline and portions of Sunnyside Road.
Lent’s opponent, Bryan Scholz, had 39% of nan ballot pinch a full of 1,714 votes.
Lent tells EastIdahoNews.com he’s thrilled pinch nan result of this race.
“I was pleasantly pleased to spot that nan antagonistic ads that went retired didn’t person an effect connected nan election,” Lent says.
Lent was first elected successful 2018. He will look connected nan ballot again successful November.
