NEWDALE — Idaho State Police is investigating a conveyance collision which occurred connected Saturday astatine 7:22 a.m., connected SH33 astatine mile marker 107 successful Fremont County.

A grey Ford Fusion was walking eastbound connected SH33, which was closed by nan Idaho Transportation Department and Rocky Mountain Power owed to powerfulness lines and poles blocking nan roadway. The Fusion drove done nan roadblock, marked pinch cones and flashing lights, and struck an ITD worker and his conveyance arsenic he stood extracurricular his achromatic Ford F350.

The ITD worker, a 41-year-old man from Idaho Falls, sustained superior injuries and was transported by aerial ambulance to a section hospital. The driver of nan Fusion, a 32-year-old-man from Rexburg, was wearing a seatbelt and was not transported. He was cited and released for inattentive/careless driving and driving connected an expired license.
