Magnier wins Tour of Britain opening stage

French rider Paul Magnier sprinted to triumph connected nan opening shape of nan Tour of Britain 2024.

The 20-year-old Soudal Quick-Step rider deed nan beforehand pinch 150m to spell and held disconnected nan situation of Britain's Ethan Vernon (Israel - Premier Tech) successful second.

Vernon's compatriot Bob Donaldson (Trinity Racing) was third, while Ineos Grenadiers' Tom Pidcock came fourth.
