Officials identify teen killed in weekend ATV crash

IDAHO FALLS — A teen who died from a clang which happened successful Teton County complete nan play has been identified.

Bonneville County Coroner Rick Taylor said he was Michael Hernandez Parra, 14, of Victor. The family has been notified. Taylor said he died owed to a traumatic caput injury. He added that Michael was nan driver.

The clang happened connected Saturday astatine 3:40 p.m. astatine 664 West and 6000 South. 

Michael and nan juvenile rider were walking westbound connected 6000 South adjacent Victor, driving a reddish Suzuki King Quad 750, erstwhile they deed a tree. Both were ejected from nan ATV, Idaho State Police reported. 

The rider was taken by ambulance to a section hospital.

Michael was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center successful Idaho Falls. He died astatine nan hospital. 

Neither of them were wearing helmets, Taylor said.
