Prep football preview: Sugar-Salem, West Side top preseason polls

IDAHO FALLS — Powerhouse Sugar-Salem High School topped nan preseason authorities media shot canvass released Tuesday, earning each 9 first-place votes successful 4A.

Rigby tied for 3rd spot successful 6A pinch Eagle. Coeur d’Alene and Rocky Mountain were selected successful nan apical 2 slots. Highland was classed fifth.

Skyline was 2nd successful nan 5A rankings down reigning authorities champion Bishop Kelly, which was a unanimous pick. Hillcrest, which reached nan authorities title crippled a twelvemonth ago, placed 4th successful nan poll.

Teton, which reached nan 3A title crippled past season, was tabbed 5th successful 4A.

Perennial powerfulness West Side topped nan 3A rankings, pinch North Fremont and Aberdeen ranking 3rd and fourth, respectively.

Defending authorities champion Butte County is No. 2 successful nan 2A rankings down Kendrick, while Rockland was slated No. 2 down Dietrich successful 1A.
