Sarah Storey has beaten Paralympic rival Heidi Gaugain to triumph golden astatine nan 2024 Para-cycling Road World Championships successful Switzerland successful nan Women's C4-C5 individual clip trial.

Storey, 46, completed nan 29.9km people successful 45 minutes and 25 seconds, finishing 1:36 clear of France's Gaugain to triumph her 38th Para world title.

It was a successful title defence for Storey, who won this arena successful Glasgow past year.

In nan women's B individual clip trial, Ireland's Katie-George Dunlevy, alongside aviator Linda Kelly, were victorious. They vanished successful a clip of 43:14.

It was a British 2nd and third, pinch Sophie Unwin, alongside aviator Jenny Holl, placing 2nd and Lora Fachie, pinch aviator Corrine Hall, third.
