RIRIE — Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle wounded clang that occurred astatine 2:22 p.m. connected Thursday connected US 26 astatine milepost 346.5 southbound of Ririe, successful Bonneville County.

A grey 2016 Dodge Dart and a Peterbilt semi-truck were some walking eastbound connected US S26. The Dodge Dart was driven by a juvenile from Idaho Falls and nan semi-truck was driven by a 67-year-old antheral from Idaho Falls. The Dodge Dart struck nan rear extremity of nan semi-truck’s trailer, near nan roadway, and rolled. The semi-truck driver was wearing his seatbelt. The juvenile did not person a seatbelt on.

The juvenile was taken to a section infirmary via crushed ambulance. The semi-truck driver was not injured.

The eastbound lanes of US 26 were blocked for astir 3 hours.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and Central Fire.
