Local schoolhouse officials and elected leaders gathered successful Sugar City Friday greeting to break crushed connected nan Career Technical Education Center, a caller schoolhouse building successful Sugar-Salem School District 322.
The CTE building will service precocious schoolhouse students, pinch nan anticipation of opening it up to big evening classes done nan College of Eastern Idaho.

Community partners will lend instrumentality and donations to respective of nan CTE’s programs. Madison Memorial Hospital and Mountain View Hospital will thief pinch nan CNA program. Taylor Chevrolet, Stone’s and Woody Smith Ford will thief pinch nan auto-tech programs.
“We cognize that not each student wants to spell to college, and we want to springiness them each opportunity to beryllium successful,” said Kristin Galbraith, chairwoman of District 322 Board of Trustees.
The CTE building will beryllium astatine 17,000-square-feet connected 2.1 acres. The building will beryllium complete pinch 4 classrooms, 2 shops and an agency space.
The building costs $3.9 cardinal to complete. The Idaho Career Ready Students Grant awarded $2.7 million, and nan remaining costs is covered by saved up territory funds.

Construction is scheduled for completion successful August 2025.
