IDAHO FALLS – Two men were arrested aft a unfortunate reported they had robbed him astatine knife-point successful an effort to bargain his ungraded bike.

Michael James Sanchez, 30, and Cory Gene Groshong, 41, are some charged pinch felony robbery.

On June 2 astir 9:08 p.m., Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a location aft a study of a robbery, according to tribunal documents. The unfortunate asked to meet astatine nan adjacent Country Corner.

Around 10:26 p.m., nan unfortunate called dispatch and reported that he was receiving threatening messages from nan men.

The unfortunate stated that nan unnamed 3rd man texted him statements for illustration “I’ll beryllium seeing u pal existent soon”, “Watch yourself tuff feline ur gunna request each nan thief u tin get”, “I’m gunna blast ur rat b**** ass everyplace an everytime”, and “be ready.”

The unfortunate screenshotted nan messages and emailed them to nan deputy, saying he was “freaked out” for his and his family’s safety. He told nan lawman he believed nan man was “going to travel retired and termination aliases sprout him.”

On June 11, nan lawman reportedly tried to scope nan unfortunate again, but his telephone was retired of service, and he could nary longer get successful interaction pinch him.

Two warrants was issued for Sanchez and Groshang’s arrests connected Aug. 29. Groshand was booked into nan Bonneville County Jail connected Aug. 30, and Sanchez was booked connected Tuesday. Both are expected to look for preliminary hearings connected Sept. 20.

If convicted, some men could look up to life successful prison.

Though Sanchez and Groshang person been charged pinch these crimes, it does not needfully mean they committed them. Everyone is presumed guiltless until they are proven guilty.
