Woman who was killed in crash after RV brakes fail, has been identified

JACKSON, Wyoming — A female who was killed successful a clang connected Wyoming Highway 22 successful nan Teton Pass has been identified. 

Teton County, Wyoming Coroner Brent Blue said it was Kathleen Carol Savko, 72. Troopers said she was from Nevada. Blue told EastIdahoNews.com nan mode and origin of decease is still nether investigation.

The fatal clang happened Wednesday afternoon. 

Wyoming Highway Patrol spokesperson Arron Healy said an RV was walking eastbound connected nan road down a steep upland grade, pulling a Ford F-150.

The conveyance successful beforehand of nan RV kept braking, causing nan RV’s driver to besides brake, Healy said. 

As nan RV neared nan bottommost of Teton Pass, nan RV’s brakes overheated, and it began to tally away.

The driver mislaid control, and nan conveyance rolled. 

There were 5 occupants successful nan RV. Four were transported to section hospitals, wherever 2 were treated and released.

The 5th occupant, who was Savko, died. 

The clang is nether investigation by Wyoming Highway Patrol.
